Major Appeal Partner
We're proud to be a Major Appeal Partner for the Cornwall Air Ambulance New Heli Appeal, donating £10,000. The New Heli appeal seeks to bring a next-generation air ambulance helicopter to Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly by April 2020.
We've supported the lifesaving charity for more than six years, providing beer for fundraising events and taking on sponsored challenges. In 2014, the company raised more than £12,800 from donating 5p from every pint they sold.
James Nicholls, our Senior Brand Manager said: “We are extremely proud to be the first Major Appeal Partner for the Cornwall Air Ambulance’s New Heli Appeal. Cornwall Air Ambulance is so vital to the Cornish resident community and visitors alike, and we are delighted to be part of the appeal to raise £2.5m to bring a next generation air ambulance helicopter to the region and save even more lives.
“At least three current members of the team at Sharp’s Brewery in Rock, North Cornwall, have been rescued by Cornwall Air Ambulance so the fantastic work that the charity does day in day out is very close our hearts. We have a strong partnership with the Cornwall Air Ambulance and this will only cement it further. We’d like to thank the continued support of our customers and Sharp’s drinkers as the high demand for our beers means we have been able to give such a sizable donation.”
